Tooth coloured Ceramic fillings / Inlays

When the cavities are very big and there is a requirement for stronger filling material ceramic fillings or inlays can be used. They can also be used to replace big silver fillings which are unaesthetic. The Inlays are esthetic and have the strength that is required in back teeth which are stress bearing. These are made of a material Empress 2 which has unmatched esthetic and load bearing capability.

Procedure:

After administering local anesthesia in case of sensitive teeth the old filling and /or the decayed portion will be removed and the tooth shaped to receive the inlay.
An impression will be made and sent to the lab along with your bite for custom made inlay which will be made to match your tooth colour and bite.
A temporary filling will be placed in the mean time.
When the final inlay comes from the lab it will be checked for colour, bite, fit and comfort in the mouth and then will be bonded in place with cement.
Takes 2 sittings one hour each with a gap of 4-5 days for lab work.
